Three Dundalk FC fans arrested in Ballybofey before game
Three Dundalk FC supporters were arrested before the club’s 2-0 victory over Finn Harps at Ballybofey in Co Donegal on Friday night.
According to The Donegal Democrat the youths were arrested after an altercation before kick-off among the away fans in the vicinity of the ground.
A spokesman for Letterkenny Garda Station told the newspaper that the three youths were arrested for public order offences following a minor incident.
They were later released and due to their age their cases are being considered under the juvenile diversion programme.
Around 200 Dundalk fans made the trip to Finn Park on Friday night where there were 1,200 in attendance.
Goals in either half from David McMillan ensured a 2-0 victory on the night for Stephen Kenny’s side.
