Value Centre to open new €5m Dundalk cash and carry in October
The new Value Centre cash and carry in Dundalk will open this October, it has been confirmed.
Talk of the Town revealed last month how BWG Foods were set to move into the former Littelfuse building on the Ard Easmuinn/Ecco Road, which has been idle since 2006.
The new 60,000sq ft warehouse is set to be renovated at a cost of €5 million in the coming months with the 27 staff employed at the two existing Value Centre sites in Dundalk and Carrickmacross relocating there in three months’ time.
The warehouse will have upgraded IT and supply chain systems and capacity for expanded chilled and frozen food product ranges.
“We had been looking for an opportunity to relocate and expand our business there for a number of years and we have had difficulty finding a suitable commercial premises,” said John Moane, managing director of BWG Foods Wholesale Division.
“The new facility will enhance our operations locally and allow us to upgrade our offering to customers,” he said.
